Southeast Asia Loop

First morning in Bangkok

Landed at Suvarnabhumi at 5am and took the train straight into the city. The sky turned from pitch black to a burning orange by the time I reached Hua Lamphong. Something about arriving into Bangkok before the heat kicks in feels different every time — familiar and foreign at once.

Checked into a guesthouse in the Banglamphu neighbourhood, dropped my pack, and immediately went out looking for boat noodles. Found a woman selling them from a cart near the Democracy Monument. Two bowls, ten baht each. Perfect.
